SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing a sheet roll body 3 by winding a continuously fed sheet F alternately onto a speed regulating roller group 11 and winding the sheet F in roll shape after making conveying speed substantially the same as the surface speed of the speed regulating roller group 11, the speed regulating rover group 11 is composed of position fixed rollers 2a and position movable rollers 2b, and the positions of the position movable rollers 2b are adjusted to make the sheet conveying speed substantially the same as the surface speed of the speed regulating roller group 11 according to sheet characteristics.
