PRODUCTION OF LAMINATED SHEET AND THIN-WALLED CONTAINER MOLDED THEREFROM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a laminate consisting of a PET layer and a polyethylene layer generating no delamination even at a time of heating/molding to provide a low temp.-resistant thin-walled container hard to crack. SOLUTION: A polyethylene sheet 7 is passed through between cooling rollers along with molten PET mixed with polyethylene extruded in a sheet form from a die 3 to produce a laminated sheet. Or, molten polyethylene and molten PET mixed with polyethylene are extruded in a sheet form from two dies arranged in close vicinity to each other and passed through the nip while superposed one upon another to be molded to produce the laminated sheet. This laminated sheet is heated to softening temp. to be subjected to vacuum molding or blow molding to produce a heatresistant thin-walled container.
