PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tightly shut lock handle device for sliding door without injuring the finger by erroneous operation, and without damaging the operation handle and the rear side door. SOLUTION: In a tightly shut lock handle device for a sliding door in which the operation handle is trunably and pivotally fitted to a fixed case 3 through a pivotal shaft 10 so as to be projected or receded, and when the operation handle is pushed into the fixed case and turned, the arc-shaped peripheral frame part 4c of the operation handle is engaged with the receiving block 18 so that the rear door is drawn to a front door 22 for locking; the principal part of the operation handle projecting to the front side of the fixed case 3 at the time of unlocking is not provided with an opening penetrating laterally. A trigger lever whose front end surface 30a is opposed to the front surface of the fixed case 3 at the time of unlocking is provided to the principal part of the operation handle.
