The device consists of a two-part housing with dovetail-like closure wedges along its separating plane and two connecting clamps on its housing periphery offset by 180 degrees. A cylindrical sealing sleeve (2) is laid around the cable and enclosed by the two-part housing whose inner curvature continues into the opposed teeth of the closure wedges and the clamps are joined to form a closure element.
