The storage case includes a disc-retaining arrangement (M) which is formed by the extension of a raised portion (1a) of the baseplate (1), and can be elastically deformed under pressure to retract and fit within the central hole of the CD. The raised portion is preferably formed in the center of a region of the baseplate surrounded by a circular flange (1b) arranged to cooperate with the outer rim of the inserted disc, and takes the form of a circle enclosing a flat supporting surface (1a1) connected to the center part by an inclined portion (1a2).
