The vehicle consists of a single ski (2), a support (5) with a seat (51) for the driver, an arm (4) connecting the support to the ski, and a manual steering and braking control (6) in the form of a handle or bar between the driver's legs and in front of the seat. The axis of the pivot (41) connecting the support to the arm is situated behind and below the steering and braking control; the arm is connected to the ski by a second pivot (42) situated in the rear half of the ski, while the pivot between the arm and support is located between and behind the driver's knees, so that the arm slopes down from front to rear.
