<p>This invention relates to a method for treating an electrochemical cell containing an electrolytic solution, for example the cell of a lead storage battery. The method includes the step of disbursing fine particles of electrolytic manganese dioxide into the electrolytic solution of the cell. The particles of manganese dioxide may be supplied in a sachet, but are preferably supplied in a capsule that dissolves in the electrolytic solution of the cell.</p> |
