Process for forming powdered metal parts comprises delivering a metal powder (22) from a source; applying a heated volatile coating to the metal; feeding the metal from a feed through a heated pipe (30) on the matrix (14) to form the part and monitoring pipe temperature; heating the matrix and monitoring the temperature of it; heating a stamping matrix (18) and monitoring the temperature of it; and after filling the matrix with coated metal powder compressing the metal by applying a pressure by the stamping matrix so that the metal is sealed in a required form.
