An image distribution server is provided to enable a digital image recording device to create an image compressed as much as a data amount which can be processed by a portable phone or an information portable phone receiving the image to upload image data to a network as much as the necessary data amounts, thereby reducing communication expenses and a communication time. A reception unit(9) receives image data, additional data including an E-mail address related to an image display device(23) and user identification and/or password information from an image processing device. An authentication sever(21) authenticates the received user identification and/or password information. A URL(Uniform Resource Locator) generator(7) generates a URL used in searching and viewing the image data only when the user identification and/or password information is successfully authenticated. A mail sever(22) transmits the URL to the image display device through the received E-mail address.
