A mobile communication terminal and an operation method thereof are provided to differently display at least one of size and colors of data icons according to size of plural data, thereby easily deciding on data capacities on data lists as easily managing the data. A display unit(10) outputs lists of data as icons. A controller(30) controls so that at least one of size and colors of the icons is varied according to size of the data. The controller sets ranks according to the size of the data, and allows at least one of the size and the colors of the icons to be differently displayed according to the ranks. The controller enables the size of the icons to be increased according to each rank in proportion to the size of the data. A memory(50) stores transceived messages, downloaded data, data generated by the operation of a mobile communication terminal, image data and moving picture data.
