PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storing device for a plastic deformation long member storage/takeup reel capable of suppressing partial deformation or nonuniformity in the deformation of a long member of plastic deformation even in the case the long member and a liner are superposed one over the other and stored upon taking up on the reel. SOLUTION: When a liner and a tread member unvulcanized are to be taken up on a reel 72 for storage, the reel 72 is supported by a driven roll 40 and a drive roll 30, and they are stored in the condition rotating at all times. At the time of storage, therefore, the load originating from the taken-up tread member itself is applied uniformly to the whole circumference of winding, so that a collapse deformation generated thereby becomes uniform in the longitudinal direction, and no shape difference in tread member is generated within one turn of winding.
