<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change an input means so as to improve operability by selecting an input device from the plural input devices, freely attachably and detachably inserting it to the input device insertion port of a main body and making it usable. SOLUTION: This portable information terminal is constituted of the main body 13 and the exchangeable input device inserted to the input device insertion port 7 of the main body 13. The input device can be inserted to or removed from the input device insertion port 7 of the portable information terminal main body 13. In this case, the input device is inserted into the main body 13 along a rail formed along the input device insertion port 7 of the portable information terminal main body 13. By connecting the input device side connector of the input device and the main body side connection connector of the main body 13, the main body 13 and the input device are electrically connected. Thereafter, by closing the detachment preventing cover 8 of the main body 13, the input device and the main body 13 are mechanically fixed. In such a manner, the input device is freely attachably and detachably inserted to the input device insertion port 7 of the main body 13 and made usable.</p> |
