PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding treating device in which it is automatically reported that in the case of cutting the rear of a book bundle in a milling treatment part, generated chips are recovered by a prescribed amount in a recovery bag. SOLUTION: The rear of a book bundle 5 pinched by a clamper 4 is placed on a level plate 1 and cutting amount M is regulated by elevating and lowering the same in the directions shown in arrows A by a motor 2 for regulating height. The rear 5a of the book bundle 5 is cut by a milling machine 6 and chips are recovered in a recovery bag 14 by operating an absorbing blower 10. The cutting amount M is detected by a sensor 15 and inputted into a controlling device 17. The controlling device 17 computes the volume Va of the recovery bag from length L of a paper, thickness W of the book bundle, a factor K, the number of times T of milling treatment and the cutting amount M. When the volume Va becomes at least reference volume Vo, an announcing device 19 is actuated. |
