PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a whole apparatus including an apparatus for moving an upper flange vertically small in size and light in weight by simplifying the structure of a female mold and reducing weight of the same. SOLUTION: A pair of flanges 1, 2 for opening/closing the openings of the right and left sides of a tire and a lock mechanism A for supporting a tire expansion load are provided. The mechanism A is composed of a male mold rod 4 protruded from one side flange surface and the female mold 3 of the other side flange which is engaged with the tip of the rod 4. An adjustment mechanism for setting up the length of the rod 4 is connected to the base part of the rod 4, and the rod 4 has a slide part which is stretched with the expansion of a tire. The distance between the flanges 1, 2 is set up corresponding to the width of the tire by the adjustment mechanism, and the expansion load of the tire is supported by the rod 4 and the male mold 3.
