PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supersonic treating tool that is so made as to facilitate the treatment of a region to be treated regardless of inserting direction. SOLUTION: Two oscillating elements 2a and 2b are fixed to a supersonic transmitting member 3 in such a manner that the both elements 2a and 2b cross at a right angle and a plane formed by their axes makes angle of 45 deg. with lengthwise axis of the supersonic transmitting member 3. By driving the oscillating elements 2a and 2b with phase difference of 90 deg., for instance, oscillations comprising longitudinal oscillation mode (axial oscillation of inserting part) and bending oscillation mode (oscillation of inserting part normal to the axis) of each element are superposed and the treating part 3a oscillates as drawing an elliptic orbit. Thus this tool is constructed so as to easily treat the region to be treated regardless of inserting direction.
