PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent upper and lower blades from being extended during cutting in a state just like cutting-by-scissors. SOLUTION: This shredder comprises an upper side jaw 108 and a lower side jaw 104 respectively having blades arranged in the surrounding of a pivot part 106 in a freely rotatable manner and capable of being mutually opened and closed, a cylinder 84 for opening and closing the upper and the lower side jaws 108, 104, a linear lower side blade 116 installed longitudinally in the lower side,jaw 104, and an upper side blade 122 installed longitudinally in the upper side jaw 108 and shaped to be an arc-like and recessed state relatively to the lower side jaw. In this case, since the upper side blade 122 and the lower side blade 116 are closed toward the mutual counterparts while being in arc-like shape, the space between the upper side blade 122 and the lower side blade 116 is enabled to be closed from the tip to the base end.
