PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a beam to be accurately focused on a disk even if an objective lens is adjusted in inclination. SOLUTION: A signal recording or reproducing device for a disk is such that a pickup 1 having an objective lens 4 for emitting a beam to be focused on the disk is arranged so as to allow the pickup 1 to approach to or recede from a turntable 60 on the chassis 6, and that the pickup 1 is guided in moving by a guide axis 7 extending in the radial direction of the disk. The pickup 1 is composed of an optical body 2 equipped with the objective lens 4, and of a frame 3 mounted with the optical body 2 and fitted to the guide axis 7. An adjusting mechanism 5 is arranged between the optical body 2 and the frame 3, which tilts the optical body 2 relative to the signal face of the disk by being operated from the above.
