PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability of a washhand device by providing a lower spout and a lateral spout in a faucet and making it possible to simultaneously discharge water brom both spouts or selectively discharge water. SOLUTION: A lower spout 2 discharging water downward and a lateral spout 3 horizontally discharging water are provided in a faucet 1 in a bowl 7 to make it possible to simultaneously discharge water from the spouts 2, 3 or selectively discharge water. When one is sitting on a toilet seat, the spout 2 is used and when he is standing, the spout 3 is used. A changeover lever 4 is provided to simultaneously or selectively discharge water from the spout 2, 3. Or a detection sensor detecting the stretched hands of the user is provided in the faucet 1. A terrace-shaped bowl whose bottom is set higher than the bowl face is provided in the bowl under the lower spout turned downward so that the user may wash hands with water flowing down from the terrace- shaped bowl to the bowl when he is sitting on a toilet seat and with water from the spout when he is standing. In this way, he can wash his hands in an easy posture in either condition as he stands or sits.
