摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the methods for molding and firing inorganic articles that can facilitate the production of fired product from the substance that has low refractoriness and narrow firing temperature range that is why the temperature control is difficult in the firing by expanding the firing temperature range and decreasing the restriction. SOLUTION: Granular inorganic substance is combined with the sol solution of an inorganic substance that has a different refractoriness or a part of the sol solution is replaced with one or more kinds of other organic substance or inorganic substance to form the gel film of the added substance on the surface of each particle of the inorganic substance and they are fired. In this methods of molding and firing the inorganic articles, the sol solution of the inorganic substance is a sol solution selected from titania, silica or alumina. The sol solution of inorganic substance, for example, any of the sol solution of an inorganic substance, titania or silica is added to granular iron, its oxide or a mineral including large amounts of them, as an inorganic substance to form the gel film of titania or silica on the surface of individual particles and the coated particles are fired at 500-1,200 deg.C.
