PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to increase the temperature change of the residual magnetic flux density Br and coercive force Hc of the recording layer composed of intra-surface magnetized films relating to a magnetic recording medium and to enhance the coercive force at a record holding temperature. SOLUTION: The intra-surface magnetized recording layers are composed of >=2 layers of ferromagnetic layers 2 and 4 varying in Curie point from each other and a nonmagnetic metallic layer 3 consisting of at least one among Ru, Cu, Rh, Pd, Ag, Ir, Pt and Au is disposed between the respective ferromagnetic layers 2 and 4. The magnetization of the ferromagnetic layers adjacent to each other is reversed from each other by controlling the layer thickness of the management metallic layer 3.
