PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the display quality of an LCD(liquid crystal display) device and to make easy adhering process. CONSTITUTION: An LCD is composed by placing a TFT(thin film transistor) array substrate in a display screen, and forming light reflection shielding films on the rear face of the TFT array substrate. A TFT array substrate(a first substrate) is prepared by forming a gate electrode(18) and a gate bus line on a light reflection shielding film(14), a data bus line and a source electrode(19a) on a light reflection shielding film(16), a drain electrode(19b) on a light reflection shielding film(15), a protecting film for covering the TFT consisting of the gate electrode, the drain electrode and the source electrode, and color filters(R,G) and a black matrix(3) on the protecting cover. A second substrate(5) having a common electrode is adhered symmetric to the first substrate by the interposition of a liquid crystal(6). A backlighting device(7) is placed in the outer face of the second substrate while the outer face of the first substrate faces a display screen. According to the light reflection shielding films, reflecting-out of natural light(33) incident to a liquid crystal panel(30) from the display screen is avoided. Thereby, glare of the display screen is prevented.
