PURPOSE: A supporting structure of a tension mask for a cathode-ray tube and a tensing method thereof are provided to prevent the distortion of a design dimension in a coupling process of the tension mask by using a structure that a main frame is tensed by a sub frame having a predetermined curvature. CONSTITUTION: A sub frame(101) has a rectangular shaped frame with two short sides and two long sides. A tension mask(110) is attached to a main frame(102) by welding. The main frame(102) has a predetermined curvature at the upper end surface of the frame(102). One end portion of a supporting frame(103) is slidingly coupled to the center(S) in any one short side of the sub frame(101). The other end portion of the supporting frame(103) is coupled to the edge of the main frame(102). By these structures, the supporting frame(103) firmly holds the main frame(102). At this time, the long side of the sub frame(101) has a predetermined curvature.
