PURPOSE: A shaft supporting apparatus of a turbo compressor is provided to prevent foreign matters and stably support rotating driving shaft at high speed by enlarging bearing clearance, and to minimize the pressure leakage generated by the pressure difference. CONSTITUTION: A turbo compressor includes a power generating chamber mounting a power generating element(20) in the inside of a casing(10), compression chambers(P1,P2) formed at both parts of the power generating chamber for successively compressing gas, impellers(32) coupled with both end parts of a driving shaft(30) connected with the power generating element for transmitting driving force, and the blade part(31a,32a) of the impellers rotatably inserted into the compression chamber to face each other, wherein a shaft supporting apparatus includes a bearing housing(70) connected with the casing by forming a shaft insertion hole(71) to be inserted by the driving shaft, a plurality of supporting members(80) movably coupled with the shaft insertion hole of the bearing housing for supporting the driving shaft, and a fixing element limiting the movement of the supporting members.
