PURPOSE: A banner advertisement method is provided to enable a user to translate an idiom or a vocabulary or download a dictionary function by clicking a banner advertisement installed on a part of a top screen so that it can prevent a movement of a web page or a reference to a dictionary. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of a client computer user accessing a banner advertisement server, the client user downloading a user environment, the user installing the advertisement banner with a function of a dictionary in the client system, the client user moving the advertisement banner to a wanted position of a top screen, the user activating the function of the dictionary by blocking a word or an idiom and then clicking the banner, blocking a word or an idiom and then pushing a right button of a mouse or clicking the banner and directly inputting a word or an idiom in an input window, and the user making the banner display precise advertisement contents if the user lays a cursor on the banner and waits for a set time.
