摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery capable of rapidly improving the performance of the battery by restraining heat generation of a resistance, and by increasing the capacity of the battery. SOLUTION: In a positive electrode 1, a positive electrode active material layer 11 including lithium-containing composite oxide is formed on both sides of a band-like positive electrode collector having a length of 1m or more. In a negative electrode, a negative electrode active material layer 13 including carbon material capable of occluding and discharging lithium ions is formed on both sides of a band-like negative electrode collector having a length slightly greater than that of the positive electrode collector. A lithium secondary battery comprises a generating element structured so that the positive electrode 1 and the negative electrode are spirally wound with a band-like separator. In this case, the positive electrode collector is formed with several positive electrode collector exposure parts 12 at fixed intervals. While positive electrode collecting tabs 4 are fixed in these positive electrode collector exposure parts 12 respectively, negative electrode collecting tabs 5 are fixed in positions which are not opposite to the positive electrode 1 at both ends of the negative electrode.
