PURPOSE: A CD changer is provided to offer the necessary driving force with one motor, to load/unload the tray in a pickup state of the disk and not to forcibly load the tray at a playback of the disk. CONSTITUTION: A tray(12) is slid into a main body(10) through a guide path. Many disks are loaded in a roulette(14). A pickup unit picks up one disk. A driving motor(M) drives the tray and the pickup unit. A power transfer device loads/unloads the tray, and raises/falls the pickup unit by transferring the driving force of the driving motor to the tray and the pickup unit. A rack has first/second/third/fourth sections. The first section operates to load/unload the tray in a fallen state of the pickup unit. The second section operates to raise and fall the pickup unit in a loaded state of the tray. The third section operates to unload/load the tray in a raised state of the pickup unit. The fourth section operates to prevent a forcible loading of the tray by a shock.
