PURPOSE: A water gate composed to open and close automatically is provided to keep water level regularly by installing on an underwater barrage, a spillway of a reservoir or an irrigation canal installed to keep water for agricultural or industrial purposes, and to create an underwater barrage installed to better the water quality of polluted water. CONSTITUTION: As for composing a water mill (11) to two pairs of bearing bars (12), a driving gear (8) couple to a movable shaft (22) of a water mill, two driven gears (9)(10) couple to a bearing bar (23), a driving gear (8) is engaged with a driven gear (9), the other driven gear (10) coupled to the driven gear (9) engages with a driven gear (7) coupled to a crank shaft (24), and two hydraulic pumps (5) are coupled to the crank shaft (24). If a water mill rotates, hydraulic pressure is occurred in a hydraulic pump (5) and becomes motive power to control movable instruments (1)(3) of a water gate (2), wherein a machine operated by the power of pneumatic pressure or hydraulic pressure such as a cylinder or a rotary actuator can be used as a movable instrument composed to move a water gate (2), and an automatic water level control valve (16) coupled with a pipe line, if water flows in below regular water level, senses water level automatically and discharges by pressure automatism of hydraulic pressure which opens and closes a water gate automatically.
