PURPOSE: An actuator latch assembly of an HDD(hard disk drive) is provided to simplify the structure and to prevent affect to a servo controller by mounting a latch assembly using a spring method. CONSTITUTION: A yoke consists of upper/lower yokes(1,2) having springs(21,22) respectively. A stopper(30) is mounted at the rear side of a bobbin of an actuator(14) to be fixed between the two springs. The spring(21) of the upper yoke(1) has a protrusion in the center, and the stopper of the actuator has a latch groove only in the upper end. When a magnetic head of the actuator is positioned on a parking zone, the stopper moves between the springs. The latch groove of the actuator meets with the protrusion of the spring(21) of the upper yoke. The protrusion of the spring is inserted into the latch groove of the stopper, and the other spring(22) of the lower yoke supports the lower end of the stopper tightly. Therefore, the stopper is fixed tightly by the protrusion of the spring(21) and the other spring(22) even though inner vibration is generated by external shock.
