PURPOSE: A cathode structure of a color cathode-ray tube is provided to minimize a locational variation of the cathode and a thermal variation, thereby realizing stable electron emission characteristic. CONSTITUTION: A cathode supporting tube(4) is buried in a crystallized glass(6) inside a hermetic cap(5). The crystallized glass forms a hole(6a) corresponding to an opening(4a) of the cathode supporting tube and is protruded from the top of the hermetic cap. The top end of the cathode supporting tube is buried in the crystallized glass having heat-resistance to minimize a vertical thermal variation. The crystallized glass is projected from the hermetic cap while forming the hole similar to the opening of the cathode supporting tube in order to smoothly emit electrons and protect a cathode(1). The top end of the cathode supporting tube can be widened to maximize the supporting force.
