The mounting plate (17) is rectangular and clicks transversely in trunking, locally replacing the cover. The plate has longitudinal slots over all its length, the slots being of the correct width to accept mounting screws (13) for an electrical device (10), and of sufficient thickness to ensure rigidity of the plate. The screw can be positioned at any point along the mounting plate.
