PRODUCTION OF MALE STERILITY PLANTS USING RIP GENE OF DIANTHUS SINENSIS L

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing male sterile plants by using a RIP gene isolated form Dianthus Sinensis L., thereby mass producing male sterility plants. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing male sterile plants by using a RIP gene isolated form Dianthus Sinensis L. is composed of following steps: (a) identification of a plant producing ribosome-inactivation proteins; (b) cloning cDNA of a RIP gene from Dianthus Sinensis L.; (c) analysis of the RIP gene from Dianthus Sinensis L.; (d) estimating organic system of the RIP gene from Dianthus Sinensis L. from genome, to observe expression of the RIP gene from Dianthus Sinensis L. in E. coli; and (e) inducing male sterility using fertilized RIP gene from Dianthus Sinensis L.
