The invention relates to a method for monitoring an installation with several components (10', 16', 18') which are connected to each other. Components are graphically displayed on a display (32) and in an installation schema. The aim of the invention is to improve the possibility of diagnosis. To this end, one assembles the installation schema oneself by choosing only the interesting components.
