The invention relates to an absorbent composition for purifying gases which contain acidic components. The composition according t o the invention contains at least one compound of formula (I), wherein n is 2-6, p is 1-3, the R<1> groups may be the same or different and represent hydrogen or C1-3 alkyl, and R<2> is hydrogen, C1-3 alkyl or a group of formula (II), wherein n and R<1> are as defined above, as an aqueous solution of 20-60 w/w%. |
