Bottled and canned wine and carbonated water mixts. (spritzers) and mulled wines are prepd. by technologies used in soft drink and canning industries. The compsn. of such drinks may conform to traditional Hungarian ratios, but other compsns. may be used. Any type of wine, domestic or foreign, may be mixed with carbonated waters, as soda-water, naturally carbonated or post-carbonated mineral waters etc. The use of alkaline waters has to be avoided. Traditional wine to carbonated water vol. ratios and container vols. are: 1:1 (200 mls); 2:1 (300 mls); 1:2 (300 mls); 3:2 (500 mls); 2:3 (500 mls); 4:1 (500 mls); 1:4 (500 mls). Bottled or canned mulled wines ar prepd. from red wines by (Dr. V. Romvary's recipe) using following basic vols: 2.0 l red wine, 0.8 l water, zest of a lemon, 32 cloves, 2g whole cinnamon, 64 small sugar cubes. Basic quantities or multiples of these are mixed, boiled, filtered, bottled or canned and labelled. |
