<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pedal support structure of an automobile, which can prevent a driver from being damaged by stopping a pedal arm pushed out toward the interior or forcibly turning it forward when a collision accident occurs. SOLUTION: In a brake pedal of an automobile having a dash panel and a pedal arm rotatably provided on a mounting bracket mounted on a cowl panel and connected to an operating rod of a brake booster to interlock through a hinge point (22a), a pedal arm push preventing means for preventing the brake booster and the pedal arm from being pushed out at the time of a collision is provided in the rear of the pedal arm, and a pedal arm turning means is disposed in the rear of the pedal arm 18 to turn forward the lower part of the pedal arm 18 around the contact point abutting on the lower side of the hinge point 22a at the time of a collision.</p> |
