PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which can apply a processing liquid to a recording medium in a plurality of conveyance routes by the minimum application means, and can suppress complication of the constitution, enlargement and cost increase of the apparatus in the case of applying the processing liquid in the plurality of conveyance routes. SOLUTION: In the recorder comprising both the application means for applying the processing liquid for image quality improvement prior to recording to the recording medium, and the plurality of conveyance routes which convey the recording medium, the single application means is set at a common route part of the plurality of conveyance routes.
