<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a proper character interval by controlling the interval between the body face and letter face of each character of a typewriter terminal device capable of setting a character pitch by software as a control width and superposing the character immediately before by the control width of each character. CONSTITUTION:The data of a character code 201, and the left end control width 202 and right end control width 203 of the intervals of the left and right ends with the body face (shown by a solid line) and letter face (shown by a dotted line) of each character are registered in a character width data part 103 corresponding to all of characters. A character interval adjusting control part 104 inputs the character code present in input data successively from the head to search the character width data part 103 according to the inputted character code and uses the character pitch set expansion code and receding code of the left and right end control widths corresponding to the inputted character code to perform the lap-printing of a character to control a character interval.</p> |
