PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tape reduced in a chlorine content without detriment to mechanical properties by using a resin composition containing a polyvinyl chloride resin, a polyolefin resin, a filler, a chlorinated polyethylene, and a plasticizer in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This tape is made from a resin composition containing 100 pts.wt. polyvinyl chloride resin, 100-200 pts.wt. polyolefin resin, 60-350 pts.wt. filler, 5-50 pts.wt. chlorinated polyethylene, and 30-70 pts.wt. plasticizer and desirably has a controlled chlorine content of 8-15 wt.%. The polyolefin resin is exemplified by a high-density polyethylene, an ethylene/propylene copolymer rubber, an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, or an ethylene/ethyl acrylate copolymer. The filler is exemplified by a filler of a chlorine-containing, potassium carbonate or like type or a flame retardant of a bromine-containing, phosphoric ester or like type. The plasticizer is exemplified by di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate or epoxidized soybean oil.
