PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely hold a rotary type root vegetable shredder at a set position even if water comes into the lower surface of a pedestal, and facilitate the removal of the shredder out of the set position. SOLUTION: A blade mounting body 5 to which a flat blade 3 and a comb blade 4 are detachably mounted, is erected onto the one end part of the square pedestal 2 of a rotary type root vegetable shredder 1, and a rotary piece mounting body 6 is so provided for the other end part of the pedestal in its longer direction as to be freely slid while being faced to the blade mounting body. A needle shaped projected piece 7 is so disposed to the upper part of the rotary piece mounting body that a rotary piece 8 having the needle shaped projected piece 7 disposed in the front surface, can be freely rotated. Raised parts 12 and 12 to which slip stopping pieces 19 and 19 made out of natural rubber are mounted, are projected out of both the end parts of the blade mounting body side at the lower surface 11 of the pedestal. This constitution thereby allows the shredder to be sufficiently held by the friction force of the natural rubber even if water comes in the lower surface of the pedestal when the root shredder is in operation.
