PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vending machine which informs a routeman that the lid of the storage part of a coin mechanism or paper money discriminating machine built in the automatic vending machine is not completely closed. SOLUTION: The coin mechanism 3 and paper money discriminating machine 4 are equipped with means for detecting whether or not the lids of their storage parts are closed and if the lid of a storage part is not completely closed, that is reported to a main control box 2. The main control box 2 detects an external door being opened or closed through an external door switch 6 and controls a buzzer 7, which issues sound when the external door is closed while the lid of a storage part is not closed.
