PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the miniaturization, the reduction in the number of components and increase in the strength. SOLUTION: The frame-driving mechanism 2 for the multi-head type sewing machine 1 is equipped with the rail 23 that is arranged on the side of the bed 12 having a latch and hook built-in and extends in the front and rear direction of the sewing machine 1, the slider 24 that is mounted on the rail 23 slidably in the front and rear direction and the slider-driving mechanism 25 for allowing the slider 24 to move in the front and rear direction and the driving frame 10 for the machine is driven via the slider 24. In this frame-driving mechanism, a leak-off hole 27 for leaking off the lower shaft 15 is bored on the slider 24 so that the sliding motion of the slider 24 may not be interfered by the lower shaft 15 that extends in the transverse direction and drives the latch and hook.
