PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a disk tray from inadvertently coming off a cartridge and to take out the disk tray completely from the cartridge when the tray is loaded in a device for recording/reproduction. SOLUTION: A disk tray is designed in such a manner that a lug 44a in the elastic engaging piece 44 of the disk tray 1 can be engaged with a part of a cartridge for the purpose of preventing the disk tray 1 from coming off the cartridge even if the disk tray 1 is pulled out from the cartridge in exchanging a disk for example. In addition, the disk tray 1 can be retracted into the device body at the time of recording/reproduction by making the elastic engaging piece 44 elastically deformed inward in the retracting moving process of the disk tray 1 and thereby releasing the engagement with the cartridge, by means of the inclined part 66a of a guide plate 66 in a transporting mechanism for retracting the disk tray 1.
