PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary tool for joining seam felts capable of easily joining all the seam loops provided at both selvedges of two or more woven cloths on a paper machine. SOLUTION: This auxiliary tool for joining seam felts 1 comprises connecting tools 6 temporarily fixed oppositely to the vicinity of both selvedges of seam felts 1 comprising each backing fabric 2 composed of two or more woven cloths 4 and 5 and provided with seam loops 4a and 4b and 5a and 5b at both selvedges of the two or more woven cloths 4 and 5 in the woven cloths 4 and 5 and mutually connected in order to join the seam loops 4a to 4b and 5a to 5b. The plural connecting tools 6 are provided corresponding to the number of joinings of the seam loops 4a, 4b, 5a and 5b and are composed so as to ensure the meshing of the seam loops 4a, 4b, 5a and 5b for each woven cloth and accurately align common holes on one line.
