PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a power transmission path without passing a belt in a gear train constitution, no simplify and miniaturize a belt type nonstep variable speed gear. SOLUTION: Power from a torque converter outer shaft 3 is transmitted to a drive wheel by either one of a first power transmission path via a bypass shaft 21 without passing a belt 8 and a second power transmission path via the belt 8. The switching of the power transmission routes is performed by an operation of a power transmission path switching machine 22 having a first clutch C1 and a second clutch C2. The first power transmission route is provided with a forward/backward switching machine 30 for switching a vehicle to a forward direction and a retreating direction. A fixed gear shift ratio of the first power transmission path is set to lower speed than a gear shift ratio of the lowest speed of the second transmission path.
