PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit that an image other than an inhibition image can be reproduced even when the image includes the inhibition image. SOLUTION: An image processing section 4 applies various image processing to image data entered by an image entry section 1 and an image storage section 5 stores the processed image. An inhibition image recognition section 3 applies recognition processing of an inhibited image from received image data and the image entry section 1 informs the image storage section 5 about the result of recognition. For example, when the image storage section 5 synthesizes a plurality of image data, tag information denoting the inclusion of the inhibition image is added to an area of image data including the inhibition image and outputs the result to the image processing section 4. Thus, the image processing section 4 applies prescribed processing to the inhibition image in an area of the image data including the inhibition image and does not apply the prescribed processing to the other area. Thus, an image output section 2 normally forms an image from the image data part not including the inhibition image.
