PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste processing apparatus capable of removing water from a water containing waste with low energy in a very short time. SOLUTION: A waste processing apparatus is adapted such that grinding sections 7, 8 are provided for grindings a water containing waste into small pieces by rotating screws 9, 10 having spiral blades 9b, 10b rotated in cylindrical casings 7a, 8a. In the apparatus, for the casing 7a a plurality of slender plate members are employed, sides of which members are overlapped with each other into a cylindrical shape, and predetermined interval gaps are formed along overlapped portions where the plate members are superimposed.
