PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently develop a processor element architecture by connecting respective first and second ports to an arithmetic circuit for supplying composite word thereto and receiving real numbers of imaginary numbers therefrom. SOLUTION: A processor element 100 is provided with a register file 106 having three ports r1-r3, two first and second ports r1 and r2 among these ports r1-r3 are used as temporary memory sources and destinations during calculation and the third port r3 writes the numerical value of data as arithmetic object and reads the result. Then, the first and second ports r1 and r2 are connected to an element 104 provided with the arithmetic circuit for supplying composite words thereto and receiving real numbers or imaginary numbers therefrom.
