PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent foreign matter from entering an optical unit to prevent a piece of glass and a lens from being soiled even in the case of closing the opening part of the optical unit with the glass and the lens and to reduce the thermal influence on the optical unit by interrupting the heat from a fixing unit. SOLUTION: As for the air flow guiding mechanism, an optical unit 1 and an air flow forming means are surrounded by a partition wall 4 so that they may be isolated from a printing unit 2, a sheet carrying unit 6 and a fixing unit 3, and the air discharged from the optical unit is moved within a space 5 formed between the partition wall and the optical unit, and the air is discharged toward the printing unit through an opening part 4a partly formed in the partition wall. |
