<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily treat a sample containing activating metal such as rare earth metal without ignition by filling non-oxidizing cryogenic liquefied gas in a pulverizing container containing the sample containing the activating metal, for cooling, and substituting vaporized cryogenic liquefied gas for air in the pulverizing container, and pressure-molding the sample after grinding. SOLUTION: A flake sample formed of an alloy containing activating metal such as rare earth metal is put in a container body 2a of a pulverizing container 2 in the air A, together with a cylindrical lot 2b of the pulverizing container 2, and non-oxidizing cryogenic liquefied gas (liquid nitrogen) 3 is filled therein. A cover 2c of the pulverizing container 2 is placed on the container body 2a, leaving a slight clearance. After the liquid nitrogen 3 vaporizes, the container body 2a is completely closed with the cover 2c and tightly shut with a fastener such as a buckle. The pulverizing container 2 is fixed to a base, and the base is rocked to grind the sample while keeping it to about 5 deg.C or lower. Rocking is stopped after pulverizing, the cover 2c is removed to fill the liquid nitrogen 3 again, and the sample 1 is taken out into the air after re-cooling and pressure- molded by a press within about 10 minutes to obtain an assay sample.</p> |
