<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart good lift-drag force in a wide range from a low-speed region to a high-speed region to a golf ball and to impart a good carry thereto in spite of a low or high head speed by specifying the total sum of the high-speed region dimple working volume of respective dimples within a specified value range. SOLUTION: The total sum of the high-speed region dimple working volume of each dimple 10 calculated by the following method in the golf ball formed with the many dimples 10 on the surface is 210 to 310. The calculation method: When the diameter of the dimples 10 is defined as D1 (mm), the diameter range inclusive of this diameter is determined; the dividing part A1 of a flat truncated cone shape having the diameters D1 and D2 parting the dimple 10 in a horizontal direction in the position of a depth having the diameter d2 (mm) of the lower limit value thereof is assumed; this volume (mm3) is multiplied by the coefficient corresponding to a diameter range to calculate a first virtual divided volume; the calculation of the second virtual divided volume is similarly repeated in the depth position having the diameter of the lower limit value of the diameter range below one stage to calculate the n-th virtual divided volume below the final diameter 2 mm; and the sum total of the respective virtual divided volumes is determined.</p> |
